GO Outdoors is one of the leading outdoors and leisure retailers in the UK. Dedicated to supplying customers with everything they need to enjoy adventuring in the great outdoors.

Before becoming the business we know today, the company was initially trading as ‘Camping and Caravanning Centre’ in Sheffield, 1969. Camping was becoming more and more popular, seen as an exciting and affordable way of holidaying at home or abroad.

This put the wheel in motion for the foundations of what we know today. In the early 90s, CCC again embraced a number of new outdoor gear lines, expanding their ranges to outdoor clothing and footwear. By bringing in the market leading brands associated with quality products, CCC were becoming even more attractive.

Outdoor clothing for the whole family

Following a major expansion to three new stores, tried the concept he’d envisioned. The very first GO Outdoors opened its doors in Coventry in 2004. Thanks to breakthrough success, the store opened new cycling, fishing, running, riding and climbing departments. This including the innovative tent displays and climbing walls, still present in today’s stores.

Now there are stores all over the UK and when online shopping you can find a whole host of the ultimate outdoor products and camping equipment that will quite often help you save money as well especially when you use one of the Go Outdoors voucher codes or promo codes available.

Plus if you find your hiking boots, festival tent or outdoor clothing cheaper anywhere else they’ll beat the price by 10% with their Price Match Plus. With the great deals, free delivery options and the gift vouchers available why would you use another outdoors store?

They even have an awesome selection of big brand names including North Ridge, Regatta and Hi Gear to name but a few. So regardless of what kind of sports outdoors you do, whether you love horse riding, hiking or skiing you’ll get a bargain on everything you need for your outdoor activities.

Tent buying guide

Know before you go - Go Outdoors tent buying guide

When buying a tent it is important to understand what design will meet your needs after all they come in all shapes and sizes. A tent is an investment so you’d better choose wisely.

Pop up tent

Pitching a tent can be hard work and if you’re not used it, it can take forever. Luckily there is a solution to this in the form of a pop up tent which literally take mere minutes to set up; just throw it out of the bag and peg the sides and guide ropes down and you're done. These generally don’t sleep more than 4 people which makes them ideal for festival or backyard camping plus they're super simple to put away.

Festival tent

When festival season rolls around there's a lot to spend your money on from things like tickets to food whilst you’re there, so the last thing you want to do is shell out big bucks on a tent. Finding one relatively cheap is easy though as it doesn’t have to a large one because you won’t be spending much time in it and it’s only for a couple of days. A 3 man tent is generally perfect since you’ll be able to fit you, a friend and all your camping gear inside comfortably.

Weekend tents

These tend to be quite small (like festival tents) making them ideal for couples although you’ll probably find quite a lot with larger porch areas allowing you to set up furniture and take a seat at the end of the day. If you’re into last minute weekend getaways then this will be the tent for you should be on the lookout for because they are easy to set up so you won’t be there for hour and even easier to put away.

Family tents

No matter how big or small your family is there is a tent our there to suit your needs whether there’s 4 or 10 of you. There’s a huge selection of styles, shapes and sizes out there for you to choose from, although you’ll find most of them offer separate bedrooms and a living areas which is always good for those unexpected rainy days. Why not invest in a few optional extra like extra porches and carpet to keep your loved ones comfortable.

Mountain/backpacking tents

Adventure is out there, you just have to make sure you’re prepared with a proper tent. Mountain tents are smaller, easier to carry with a rucksack and they are built to provide increased shelter from the wind and rain. These tents are a backpackers best friend so make sure you don’t leave home without yours!

Inflatable tents

These beauties are new to the market and are made with the latest technology. If you hate putting up tents then look no further; you’ll have everything set up in minutes, where metal poles would usually be you’ll find inflatable beams. Just attach your pump and hey presto you’re ready to camp.
