About Made.com

Made.com is an online only furniture retailer (or e-tailer, if you prefer) that specialise in popular high street and designer items. By ordering directly from the retailer this innovative new company is able to sell these on demand products for as much as 70% off the recommended retail price.

It all began in 2010, only four years ago. Founded by Brent Hoberman the Chairman of Made.com and founder of the popular website Lastminute.com, alongside Ning Li the CEO, Julien Callède the COO and Chloe Macintosh the Creative Director.

The Website was such a success that it wasn’t long before the business expanded into France and then Italy. In the second year of operations they saw a massive 200% rise in profits from the previous year.

The founders were getting fed up with companies taking their cut of the profits at every stage of the buying process and the customers being left with an unnecessary price tag. So in a successful effort to cut out all of these “middlemen” they appealed and began working directly with the companies.

This has enabled Made.com to order furniture at amazing discounts with only a few slight variations on the latest styles. Genius!

Today the Website features collections from Stewart Padwick, Alison cook and Tim Fenby. You can find everything you need to kit out almost every room in your house including your garden. With two showrooms currently open in the UK you can even get a sneaky peek at your furniture before it is custom made for you.

It’s no wonder in just a few short years this online company has gone from strength to strength.
